These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by SHAkti Equine Services, LLC ("SHAkti," "we," "our," or "us"), operated by Shayna Woods. By booking a session, submitting a contact form, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
Important: These Terms include an assumption of risk and limitation of liability related to equine activities. Please read Sections 8 and 9 carefully. These Terms are a general guide. For specific legal questions, consult a qualified attorney. Shayna Woods is a certified equine bodyworker and horsewoman, not a veterinarian or attorney.
1. Agreement to Terms
By scheduling a session, submitting a website form, or attending any service or event offered by SHAkti Equine Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
These Terms apply to all services including equine bodywork, nutrition consulting, western saddle fit consulting, connection horsemanship sessions, and Unbridled experience events.
2. Our Services
SHAkti Equine Services provides holistic and complementary equine services including:
- SHAkti Bodywork: myofascial massage, red light therapy, Reiki, kinesiology taping, Surefoot Pads, acupressure, and nervous system regulation
- Western Saddle Fit Consulting: western saddle evaluation and fit assessment
- SHAkti Nutrition Consulting: forage-first nutrition plans (available to existing bodywork clients as an add-on)
- SHAkti Connectionship: liberty-based horsemanship and connection sessions
- Unbridled Experiences: horse-guided personal growth events (see Section 10)

3. Booking & Scheduling
Sessions are booked by contacting Shayna directly through the website contact form, phone, or email. A booking is confirmed when Shayna provides written or verbal confirmation.
- Session availability is subject to Shayna's schedule and travel area
- Please provide accurate information about your horse, including known health conditions, recent veterinary visits, or behavioral concerns
- Shayna reserves the right to decline or reschedule a session if conditions are unsafe for the horse, client, or practitioner
4. Cancellation Policy
We understand that schedules change and horses don't always cooperate. We ask for 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Cancellation fees are due at or before the next scheduled session. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in discontinued service at Shayna's discretion.

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged in advance.

Pricing is as listed on our website at the time of booking. SHAkti reserves the right to update pricing with reasonable notice.
6. Session Preparation
To ensure a safe and productive session, clients agree to the following preparation guidelines:
- Your horse should be clean and free of heavy mud or sweat before a bodywork session
- Please arrive or have your horse ready 10 minutes early
- Your horse should be secured in a quiet, comfortable location, such as a grooming area, barn aisle, or similar space
- Inform Shayna of any recent changes in your horse's health, behavior, or veterinary treatments before the session begins
- New clients must complete a consent and intake form before the first bodywork session. Shayna will provide it at booking.
Sessions may be shortened or rescheduled without charge if these preparations have not been completed and they affect the horse's safety or the session quality.
7. Service Disclaimer
All services provided by SHAkti Equine Services are complementary and holistic in nature. They are not a substitute for, and should not replace, regular veterinary care, chiropractic care, or any other professional medical treatment for your horse.
Shayna Woods is a certified equine bodyworker and horsewoman. She is not a licensed veterinarian and cannot diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any illness or disease in animals.
It is strongly recommended that your horse maintain an established relationship with a qualified veterinarian and farrier. Discuss all complementary care options with your veterinarian before beginning services, particularly for horses with known medical conditions.
Results from bodywork, nutrition consulting, saddle fit, or connection sessions vary by horse and cannot be guaranteed.
8. Assumption of Risk
Working with and around horses involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: being kicked, bitten, struck, or knocked down; falls; and unpredictable animal behavior. These risks exist regardless of the skill or experience of those involved.
By engaging services with SHAkti Equine Services, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks. You represent that:
- You are the owner or authorized agent of the horse(s) receiving services
- You have disclosed all known health, behavioral, or safety concerns about your horse
- You understand and accept the risks associated with equine activities
- You will not hold SHAkti Equine Services or Shayna Woods liable for injuries or incidents arising from the inherent risks of working with horses
Note: Some states have specific Equine Activity Liability Acts that may affect your rights and responsibilities. Shayna's business location and applicable state law govern these Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SHAkti Equine Services and Shayna Woods shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from services provided, including but not limited to:
- Changes in a horse's behavior, health, or performance after a session
- Incidents arising from the inherent risks of equine activities
- Loss or damage to personal property at session locations
Our total liability for any claim arising from services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific session in question.
This limitation of liability may not apply in all jurisdictions. We recommend consulting a local attorney if you have questions about your rights.
10. Unbridled Experience Events
Participation in Unbridled horse-guided personal growth experiences is subject to these Terms as well as any additional event-specific agreements provided at booking. Key notes:
- Event waitlist registration does not constitute a commitment or guarantee of a spot
- Spots are confirmed upon direct communication with Shayna and receipt of any required deposit or payment
- Events involve working in proximity to horses. The same assumption of risk and equine activity disclaimers in Sections 7 and 8 apply.
- Cancellation policies for events will be communicated at the time of event confirmation and may differ from standard session policies
- SHAkti reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to weather, horse availability, or circumstances beyond our control; refunds will be provided for pre-paid events we cancel
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, pricing, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. The most current version of these Terms governs your use of our services. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
